Pickdex is an independent directory. For questions about this notice or access, correction or deletion requests concerning information you sent us, contact info@zaratuk.ca. Please do not send tenant records or confidential documents.

Browsing and comparison

There are no accounts, tracking cookies, rental applications, document uploads or public editing. Filters and selected company slugs are stored in the page URL and may appear in browser history. Avoid personal information in search terms. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and processes connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and secure it. Its infrastructure may process information outside Canada. Application request logging is disabled; Cloudflare may separately retain operational and security information under its own policies.

Optional company map

The company map loads only when you choose Show map. Map images are requested directly from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address, browser information, our site’s origin and the map areas you view. Your directory search text is not sent to the map provider. We do not request your device location. Company address coordinates are prepared in advance; there is no live address lookup as you browse. Published business addresses and source links remain available as text if the map images cannot load.

Messages

Online forms are currently unavailable. You can email info@zaratuk.ca for questions, listing requests, corrections, claims or removal requests. The listing-request link opens a template in your email app; you choose whether to send it. Sending an email shares your email address and anything you include with the publisher through the email services involved. We use correspondence to review and respond to your request and do not sell it to property managers. Please send only the information needed for your request. Verified removal requests are recorded so that a company is not listed again.

Website and advertising measurement

When enabled for public browsing, Pickdex measures page views, directory filter categories, comparison use, company profile views, contact-link clicks and sponsored placement renders, visibility and clicks. Your browser sends broad source categories such as Google, an AI assistant, social or direct, and a coarse device category. Known referral domains and a small allowlist of utm_source labels can determine that category; arbitrary campaign values and the landing URL are not sent. These labels do not verify that an AI assistant or a person visited. Cloudflare supplies an approximate network region, grouped as Ontario, Quebec, other Canada, United States, other or unknown. We do not store full referrer URLs, search text, page query strings, form contents, contact details, exact locations or raw IP addresses in analytics. We do not create visitor profiles or use tracking cookies, local storage, session storage or cross-site identifiers for measurement. We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this collection. Separately, the server counts successful requests from AI assistants and crawlers that name themselves in their user-agent string, such as ChatGPT-User. Only the date, the page or company profile and the agent's name are stored, never the IP address or the full user-agent string.

Reports, access and retention

Daily aggregate activity is stored in Cloudflare D1 for up to 400 days and used to improve the directory and report advertising exposure and company interest. A random identifier is attached to each event to avoid counting repeated delivery; it identifies an event, not a person, and is removed within three days. Access to the reporting dashboard requires a private access key. Aggregate reports may be shared with advertisers; these do not identify individual visitors. Counts are observed activity, not unique people, qualified leads or proof of a sale. Hosting and security systems still process connection information to deliver and protect the service. Abuse protection uses a secret-derived network key that changes each minute for rate limiting; the address and this key are not stored in the analytics database. Traffic is not collected from the Coming soon page while the public site is hidden.

Company websites and your email provider operate their own privacy practices. You can request access, correction or deletion of correspondence by emailing info@zaratuk.ca. Because our analytics totals do not identify people, we cannot retrieve a person's browsing history from these reports. Before enabling online forms, we will update this notice to describe the active services and retention arrangements.
